JAKO extends partnerships with Niko Kappel and Timo Hildebrand

JAKO is continuing its successful collaboration with brand ambassadors Niko Kappel and Timo Hildebrand and extending their contracts by two years each until 31 December 2026. The joint development of recent years has shown how valuable this connection is for both sides - characterised by shared values, sporting successes and exciting projects.

‘Niko Kappel and Timo Hildebrand are two exceptional personalities who are a perfect fit for JAKO. Both embody values such as team spirit, passion and social responsibility - qualities that are also central to us as a company,’ says Tobias Röschl, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer at JAKO. ‘We look forward to continuing our successful collaboration and realising further exciting projects together.’

Niko Kappel: A role model in para-sport
Para shot putter Niko Kappel has been part of the JAKO family since 2021 and stands for fighting spirit, strength of will and the promotion of disabled sport. Since his Paralympic victory in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, he has been one of the world's best shot-putters in the F41 class and has won numerous national and international titles.

He celebrated his greatest successes most recently in 2024 with the silver medal at the Paralympics in Paris and the world championship title. Kappel is also the current world record holder in the para shot put - a testament to his exceptional athletic development and tireless ambition.

In addition to his sporting successes, Kappel is a strong advocate for the perception of para-sport and inspires many people with his authentic nature - whether with his competition performances or on social media.

‘JAKO has been a reliable partner to me for many years and I am delighted that our journey continues,’ says Kappel. ‘Together, we are committed to inclusion and equal opportunities in sport.’

Timo Hildebrand: football legend with vision
Former national goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand has represented the team sports brand as a brand ambassador since 2023. His sporting career includes numerous successes: he won the German championship with VfB Stuttgart in 2007, set a record in the Bundesliga with 884 minutes without conceding a goal and played over 300 first division matches. His international career has taken him to Valencia FC, with whom he won the Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey) in 2008. He also stood between the posts for FC Schalke 04, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt and Sporting Lisbon and played seven international matches for the German national team.

After his active career, Hildebrand increasingly dedicated himself to social and sustainable projects alongside his media work. He is a board member of the Stuttgart-based aid organisation STELP e.V., is committed to ecological responsibility and runs the vegan restaurant ‘vhy!’ in Stuttgart.

‘JAKO stands for authenticity, team spirit and sustainability - these are exactly my values,’ says Hildebrand. ‘I am proud to continue to be part of the JAKO family and look forward to the upcoming joint projects.’
