A sustainable jersey in the style of the successful 2001/02 season
This is the new home jersey for Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
JAKO and Bayer 04 Leverkusen are bringing the look from the successful 2001/02 season back onto the pitch. Twenty years after the Werkself's Champions League final against Real Madrid, the Leverkusen team will once again play in a black and red striped home kit. In the design process, the team sports outfitter and the Bundesliga club were inspired by the kit from the legendary final.
Design elements in the club colours complete the look of the new home jersey. The club emblem with its historic contours is designed in black and white, while white contrasting inserts on the collar and sides give the jersey a dynamic character. The "WERKS11" lettering is on the outside of the neck. The black trousers with white design elements and red socks with a black stripe and the lettering "B04" complete the outfit.
As much as to a successful history, with the home jersey JAKO and Bayer 04 Leverkusen are committing themselves to a sustainable future. Like all Leverkusen jerseys to follow, the new kit is made from recycled polyester micro-mesh.
The sustainable material is also highly breathable, lightweight and supports the Werkself players in bringing their full potential onto the pitch. In the best case scenario, this will be enough to qualify for the Champions League again at the end of the season.
