Big emotions at JAKO anniversary celebration
A total of 45 employees were honoured last Friday for their many years of service to the company. The JAKO team also bid farewell to two employees who are starting their well-deserved retirement.
Around 90 guests were invited by the JAKO Management Board to the JAKO Teamcenter on Friday, 24 November 2023. After a reception and a warm welcome from CEO Nadine Sprügel, it was time to honour the many long-serving employees. In addition to many 10, 15 and 20-year anniversaries, board member Yvonne Sprügel was particularly proud that she could also thank three employees for 25 years and two employees for 30 years of JAKO service on this day - figures that are all the more significant considering that JAKO AG was only founded in 1989. After handing over gifts and many entertaining photos from the past three decades, two farewells were also on the agenda of the evening.
Two farewells on retirement
Carina Becker retired after 17 years at JAKO and received much applause and thanks. An emotional moment followed when Yvonne Sprügel bid farewell to her mother Rose Sprügel who played an active and dedicated role in the establishment of JAKO from day one and worked for the company for a total of 34 years. With her, JAKO is saying goodbye to a valued and much sought-after colleague who will be missed in many places.
After a few personal words by Yvonne Sprügel, those present bid them both farewell with a standing ovation. Following the official programme, everyone took the opportunity to reminisce about the past years and decades over good music and drinks.
