In a thrilling competition at the European Championships at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, our JAKO brand ambassador Kristjan Čeh won the gold medal in discus throw. The 25-year-old Slovenian triumphed in the showdown with an impressive throw of 68.08 m, beating a world-class field that included the current world record holder, Mykolas Alekna from Lithuania.
Čeh’s explosive throw and his victory in Rome are not only a personal triumph but also an important milestone on his journey to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. "I finally got my confidence back," Čeh said after the competition, which took place less than 50 days before the start of the Olympic Games.
The success at the European Championships not only boosts Čeh’s confidence but also solidifies his position as one of the leading athletes in discus throw.
