A close connection to Stuttgart

Together with VfB Stuttgart, JAKO presents the new home kit for the 2022/2023 season
A close connection to Stuttgart
The new VfB home jersey for the season 2022/2023
The close connection to the city of Stuttgart, the region and entire Württemberg plays an essential role in the new VfB home shirt for the 2022/2023 season. If you look closely, you will recognise the silhouettes of 24 Stuttgart landmarks that are incorporated around the breast ring - including the Wilhelma, the Cannstatter Kanne, the Markthalle, the Stiftskirche or Solitude Castle. Once slipped on, the feeling of home is palpable - no matter from where the fans are loyal to VfB.

Details and material
Together with supplier JAKO, however, it is not only the connection to the city of Stuttgart that has been incorporated into the dress. Attention to detail also continues to matter for the material. Because: What was already true for all jerseys in the previous season also applies in the 2022/2023 season. They are manufactured by JAKO in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way with 100 percent recycled polyester.
Highlights of the goalkeeper jerseys in green and orange are pixelated colour accents and the label in the collar, which looks like a ticket from the 1991/1992 championship season.

Available now
The new 2022/2023 home and goalkeeper jerseys are available now from VfB and the JAKO online shop - the home kit is also offered in a women's version with a tailored cut.

"I am delighted that we have developed a jersey together with VfB Stuttgart that links various design elements with a sense of home. The graphic outlines of the sights from Stuttgart and the surrounding area show the special places in the region where VfB is at home," says Tobias Röschl, CMO at JAKO AG. "By producing the jerseys from recycled material, we are at the same time setting another example for resource efficiency and sustainability."

"We are the VfB. We are a diverse community, united in the chest ring and closely connected to the city of Stuttgart and an entire region," says Alexander Wehrle, VfB CEO. "After two years of Corona restrictions, we are allowed and want to get close to the city again, to the fans, to the many people who carry VfB in their hearts and always support us - because that's what makes a traditional club. With the design of our new home jersey, we symbolically illustrate this."

"As the main sponsor, Mercedes-Benz Bank is entering its eleventh season together with VfB Stuttgart with solidarity and pride. And this solidarity is visualised with the new home jersey," says Benedikt Schell, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Bank AG. "The silhouettes of the Mercedes-Benz Arena and the Mercedes-Benz Museum are displayed between the VfB crest and the breast ring."
